Well it’s Saturday. I missed out on blogging yesterday because I was too busy. The foods weren’t too interesting though so you aren’t missing much.
Foods of Yesterday
So here is what happens when you add too much water to oatmeal…

Oh well. I let it sit for a few minutes and it eventually absorbed. I also added corn flakes, cinnamon and craisins! Tasty but I CAN’T wait to buy more pumpkin. I’m going to buy the giant can.
I also had some coffee:

Around 11, I had the very last blood orange.

For lunch, I couldn’t decide what I wanted. We almost ordered food from Sub Med but then decided against it so I went back to my old standby, a salad from Bruegger’s. There was also a snow storm going on when I decided to head outside around 1pm. I was covered in snow and only walked a short block.

There were field greens, cucumber, green pepper, sprouts, blue cheese, more craisins and balsamic vinaigrette.
The work day wasn’t too bad. It was pretty quiet because a few people were on their way to the Super Bowl and it’s pretty typically quiet on Friday afternoons.
I left work and went to the gym because I hadn’t been there since Monday. I was feeling kind of tired too so I figured that would give me some energy for the party later.
I got on the treadclimber and did 30 minutes. That machine is hard. It said I burned 450 calories in the 32 minutes?? That doesn’t sound very accurate but it is a tough machine. Unfortunately, there isn’t a TV on those machines so I didn’t get to watch Ina (NO). Oh well. The exercise did wake me up but then I had to wait for a bus for like 25 minutes and that put me in a bad mood.
So I got home starving and ate some of Andy’s chocolate chip banana bread. This was about halfway through my piece.
I roasted butternut squash, broccoli and I cubed a sweet potato and added that. The sweet potato was the best. I love them. I don’t know why I never thought of roasting them in cubes before. I normally go the baked potato or sweet potato fries route.

After dinner, it was already 7:30 so I had to shower and get ready. Andy came over around 8:30 and we went to the party in the South Side. We’ve been to the South Side two weekends in a row. We’re taking about 3 months off from that. AH horrible.
The party was a good time though. I met some new people and their house was very interesting. It was full of old furniture and art and I LOVE old furniture. You’ll see in the Summer when I track down garage sales/yard sales/estate sales on the weekends and end up with all sorts of semi-useless things. My biscotti seemed to go over well too. I think there were only a couple left when we left. I liked them. Alright Giada, you win this time.
Oh also, I had two small glasses of red wine last night. No pictures because it was dark and my camera was in my coat pocket somewhere. When we got back to my house, I fell asleep on the couch then woke up about 20 minutes later and ate some craisins. I was kind of hungry. I told Andy not to tell anyone though because I wasn’t going to list it on here..haha. I did anyway though. Full disclosure for you guys.
So now it’s Saturday morning. I don’t have much planned for today. Maybe hanging out with Gina tonight. It’s been quite a while.
