Dinner

January 20, 2009

So I experimented with the frozen vegetables today. They turned out really well. The brussels sprouts definitely weren’t the same as the fresh ones but they were still good. I roasted them at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes straight from the freezer. The butternut squash could have probably used 5 more minutes or so but I was impatient and hungry.

I also had two hard-boiled eggs with honey mustard. I just had a bowl of cereal too but didn’t take a picture and I also had a little bit of the leftover rice. I feel like I’ve been snacking all afternoon so I got sick of the photographing. Alright time to relax and then read until bed.

Lunch and some randomness

January 20, 2009

I finally finished the butternut squash soup around 11 this morning. I had another tortilla to go along with it but failed to take a picture. I also didn’t take a picture of the grape tomatoes with guacamole that I snacked on a little later. They would have been boring pictures anyway.

Here’s the soup:

So I eventually made it out to the gym. I took the bus because I wasn’t in any hurry and didn’t feel like trying to find a place to park. Plus it’s like 20 degrees outside and feels like a heat wave.

I did 20 minutes on the stair climber/elipitical/I don’t know the real name machine then I ran 2.25 miles on the treadmill which took about 20 minutes. I say run but I obviously do not actually run… jog. yes. I bussed back home and had a blood orange. I bought them the other day and they are SO GOOD. It has a much stronger, sweeter flavor than a regular orange. Then I snacked on some blueberry yogurt with oats tossed in. I’m going to eat dinner in about an hour or so I suppose because I’m still hungry.

Also, I’ve been wanting to let you all see what is currently hanging on my refrigerator.

I most definitely met Jaromir Jagr at Hills as a wee one.
