Eeek

Hellllo,

I missed the blogging yesterday. I was busy and went to bed pretty early.

So I’ll show you dinner last night. I went over to Andy’s and he cooked grilled cheese and sesame asparagus.

For some reason blogging right now is just impossible. I can’t put sentences together. I’m sorry in advance.

Here’s Andy preparing dinner:

We George Foremaned the grilled cheese:

Mine was Swiss cheese and tomato on ciabatta bread:

(Andy’s included cheddar)

On to Today

Breakfast oats:

STILL MORE KASHI GO LEAN.

I had an apple snack in the morning. I also had carrots but didn’t take a picture:

I only packed butternut squash soup for lunch so I got my Pita Pit a day in advance. I figure I’ll eat the other half tomorrow with another bowl of soup. Must not buy lunch more than once a week.

After lunch, Coworker brought over some olive flavored tortilla-ish/crackerish chips. I was shocked because these chips are all over the food blogs that I read. Check out the website for a coupon – Food Should Taste Good.

I also sent the company an e-mail in hopes of getting some other flavors to test and review.

Here is the bag:

And the ingredients/nutrition facts:

They have all sorts of interesting flavors like SWEET POTATO. mmm

After eating, I wandered down to the farmer’s market in Market Square. Today was the first today. It was pretty sad. I don’t think there was any actual produce. :( Were are you leafy greens??? Oh well.

Afternoon snack was Stonyfield plain with …uhhh Kashi Go Lean.

Work was uneventful. I was really unmotivated to run today. It’s the stupid weather. It kills my energy.

I decided since my race is NEXT WEEKEND, I needed to run. I went to the gym and ran 3.1 miles again (another 5K) except I made it more difficult this time. I ran 6.5 mph at .5% incline for the first 1.5 miles then I increased the incline to 2% for 3 minutes then back down to 1% then up to 2.5% for another 3 minutes then 0% for the rest. I did the last half mile or so at 7 mph. wooo. I was pretty tired after this.

I got home and immediately ate some microwaved egg whites with ketchup. I couldn’t wait for the vegetables to cook. I also had some black beans while impatiently waiting for these to roast:

Oh fresh veggies, you’re so much better then frozen.

  • Some broccoli
  • A bunch of Brussels sprouts
  • A sweet potato

I’m going to make something else to eat now but I wanted to get blogging out of the way.

    FRIDAY ALMOST!!!

  • Mardi.

    Hello All,
I’m going to make this super quick because I want to be done with this in 7 minutes.

First of all, here is a picture of the view from my cubicle window so you can see what I can see. Exciting view right? 20th floor facing another building:

Breakfast oats = pumpkin and Kashi Go Lean:

Morning snacks = carrots with the last of the pecan butter and an apple:
    img_2588

Lunch was an egg white/spinach/onion/ketchup/honey mustard wrap:
    img_2589

At 12:45 Andy and I took a walk over to the North Shore. We sat on a bench:

While drinking iced coffee (I got another Starbucks gift card from a coworker):

Afternoon snack was Stonyfield plain with Kashi Go Lean (nooo picture).

After work, I went to the gym because it started raining just about then. I really wanted to run outside but that didn’t work out today. I ran 3.1 miles (5K) at 6.4 mph. My legs felt like LEAD. Ugh. It was a painful run. I guess that’s just how it goes sometimes. I went a total of 3.6 miles between warming up and cooling down, stretched and bussed home.

I showered and then made scrambled egg whites with 1/2 a giant onion and two handfuls of spinach. I also had a bowl of butternut squash soup. It was the Pacific Foods brand. It wasn’t as good as I remember it. I ate a Flat Out wrap with this stuff too.

    I also had a plate of fruit/veggies:

Okay time for Oikos dessert and probably something else. And it’s 7:59. Success.

    I don’t hate the dentist.

Monday is over! I love Monday evenings. The first day of the week is over and it’s a no run day for me. Yes!

So I woke up a little sleepy and out of it this morning but had some hazelnut coffee and woke up.

When I got off of the bus downtown I realized that I forgot to pack oatmeal! Oh no! Luckily, it’s on sale this week at Rite Aid. They only have quick oats so that’s what I got.

Pumpkin Quick Oats with the never ending box of Kashi Go Lean:
    img_2579
I noticed that the quick oats were a whiter color than regular rolled oats. They tasted the same though.

The morning was BUSY. I had some carrots with pecan butter around noon for a snack:

I met Andy at 12:30 because he left his leftover Indian food at my house so I brought it in for his lunch. We took a quick walk over to the North Shore and back and then I had a big salad with balsamic vinaigrette and honey mustard.

It was BIG though it doesn’t really look it.

I left work at 3:30 today for a dentist appointment. No cavities! I really like my dental hygienist. She complimented my dental hygiene. I also found out today that she’s a runner! She runs much much more than me. I’m really not a runner but I like to pretend that I am. One day. ONE DAY.

Anyway, I bussed to the dentist and then walked home. I had a chocolate Z Bar on the way quickly dirtying up my sparkling teeth… Ah well.

I got home around 5:45 and baked up some kale for dinner. I had an egg white/onion/spinach/ketchup/pepper wrap with the kale. Delicious.

A container of Oikos with lots of toppings is in my future. And an apple.

It’s hot in my apartment. I’m sad that the weather is going to cool down though. I love this weather.

I’m trying to think of something entertaining to tell you. I have nothing. Have a nice night all.

In the interest of full disclosure:
Oikos with wheat bran was consumed as well as a small portion of oats with apple.

    ADIOS for real.
