I posted three times today…

Apparently I had a very uneventful day or maybe I’m just REALLY in the mood to blog. I’m watching the Penguin’s game right now. It’s stressful.

I snacked all day long and took a picture of nothing except for this lovely smoothie. I bought frozen black rasberries at TJ’s today so I incorporated that into a frozen coffee drink.

  • 1/4 cup frozen black raspberries
  • 1/2 a banana
  • ice cubes
  • coffee
  • 1/4 cup chocolate almond breeze

Two big thumbs up. Pretty color eh?

Please note the giant box of oatmeal perched on the table. I have nowhere to put it so it’s going to stay right there.

I ate a WHOLE bunch today included two cups of yogurt, 2 wraps, tons of baked kale, cereal, eggs.

Alright time to focus on the game. I’m looking into camping arrangements for some weekend in June hopefully. Exciting!

    Good Night!

  • Because everyone wants to see a picture of me covered in sweat.

Well it’s after noon now. 2:06 PM to be exact. I just took a shower.

For breakfast this morning, I had oats with wheat bran, cinnamon and Kashi Honey Sunshine! I love that cereal.

Then I had some frozen coffee with almond breeze:

Then I perused the internet for about an hour while the food digested. I put on running clothes around 9:15 and found the Bow in his new favorite place:

I left around 9:30 I think for my run. I had plans of ending up in Washington’s Landing which has a trail that I didn’t know existed. I ran down Liberty to the 31st Street Bridge, across the bridge and down to the trail. I ran along the trail for maybe 3/4 of a mile (?) and then turned around to journey back. I didn’t really consider the fact that the whole way back would be uphill as I was running along but oh well. I ran back until I got to the ramp up to the bridge and then walked a bit. I started running again and ran until I got to the bottom of the hill up Liberty to Bloomfield. Once I got almost to the top I started running again and ran back to my street. I stopped and got the newspaper and finally made it home at 10:54! Woah! That was a long run.

I got a sports bra tan:

And a sweet shorts tan that I won’t show you.

I stretched and drank a ton of water and then had a big bowl of plain yogurt with wheat bran and cinnamon and then went off to Trader Joe’s for some foods.

Got back and made this wrap:

Spinach, egg whites, feta, Sriracha and barbecue sauce in a whole wheat wrap.

Oh I also had a Z Bar on the way to Trader Joe’s.

Okay that’s about it for now. I’m thinking of making pizza for dinner tonight!

    Continuous Partial Attention

Good Morning! It’s Sunday morning. I love Sunday mornings. It’s 8 AM. I’m drinking some coffee with Almond Breeze and watching the news… and blogging.

I just read an article about multitasking. It said that we can’t really focus on more than one task at a time and multitasking is just us rapidly switching our attention from one task to another. Continuous Partial Attention they say. That’s pretty lame I say.

Continuous partial attention is an always on, anywhere, anytime, any place behavior that creates an artificial sense of crisis. We are always in high alert. We reach to keep a top priority in focus, while, at the same time, scanning the periphery to see if we are missing other opportunities. If we are, our very fickle attention shifts focus. What’s ringing? Who is it? How many emails? What’s on my list? What time is it in Beijing?

In case you want to add to your distractions, follow the Penguin’s on Twitter. I AM.

Anyway…last night I had some beer:

I persuaded Gina to take a picture with me only if I didn’t use the flash. I did however, enhance the photo on the laptop.

    Poor quality photo here:

    And Jason with flash:

They love when I post pictures of them on the blog.

Gina has a blog here and Jason SHOULD have a blog but does not.

Okay off to eat some breakfast. I’m hungry.
