Quickk

Soo I did run today. I’m not sure how long it was?? I would say a little over 3 miles. I hate almost getting hit by cars. I should have gone to Schenley but I put it off until noon and didn’t want to miss the start of the Penguin’s game. Ohhh well.

I snacked away my day again today. The highlight would have to be an organic mango. They’re on sale at Trader Joe’s for 89 cents! They have mountains of them too so check it out.

Alright I’m going to have a glass of wine and then do something.

Happy Saturday night!! Marathon tomorrow. I’m going to wander up to Liberty tomorrow morning and check it out.

BYE!

Homemade Almond Butterness.

Good Morning Everyone!

My blogging has become pretty erratic, eh? I was tired last night. I planned to blog while Andy was here last night because we didn’t really have any plans except sitting next to each other while working on our respective laptops. FRIDAY NIGHT! We’re party animals. Unfortunately, I fell asleep on the couch at like 9 PM… Oh well. I’ll show you a couple of pictures from yesterday but I definitely don’t have pictures of everything.

The morning oats were terrible. First of all, I accidentally left them in the microwave at work too long and they overflowed. Attempt #2 was also semi-unsuccessful. I didn’t add enough water this time so they were really dry plus I was out of pumpkin. It was a sad breakfast day.

Ah well. I also purchased coffee at Au Bon Pain and there were GROUNDS in my coffee. Oh, I also missed my bus yesterday. hmm. Friday. hmm.

Morning snack was an apple that I hacked apart with a plastic knife:

I have no pictures of lunch and dinner!

I’ll show you Almond Butter instead.

Remember when I bought almonds last week? I finally decided to make the almond butter yesterday. I put the almonds in the food processor and let it process forever. I had to scrape down the sides a few time and it still didn’t really become smooth and buttery(?). I guess almonds have less oil than pecans because this had a very thick consistency. I tasted and it was pretty bland so I added salt and some vanilla — maybe 2 teaspoons. It smelled like frosting! I like the taste now though I like pecan butter much more. Next nut up? Maybe cashews. I think that would be tasty or maybe I’ll mix a couple of different nuts. NUT CREATIVITY! hmmm. I still need to purchase some more jars.

So here is my almond butter pictorial:
