Hellllo,
It’s Cinco de Mayo. I got an email today that said Cinqo de Mayo. WHAT? I was unusually perturbed with this.
Hey so I’ve sucked at taking pictures of my eats yesterday and also blogging. Blog rut. I need blog inspiration. I need to stop.
I felt super enthusiastic today and I have no idea why. Ummm yesterday after a lovely work Monday, I didn’t do anything except sit around and read. I planned to go to bed early but I couldn’t sleep. I got into bed around 10 and tried to journal but TWO PENS ran out of ink. I decided it was a sign that I should not write so I gave up and eventually fell asleep around 11ish.
TODAY.
Another normal work day so I’ll just skip the details. I did walk with the USX Strangers though. It was a brief one.
Breakfast today was pumpkin oats with the new cereal – Flax Plus. It’s a winner blog friends. Check it out. I’ve also read that flax helps balance out moods. I likely need this.
Morning snacks were an apple and some carrot sticks.
Lunch was 1/2 of that bowl of Indian food. It was some kind of braised eggplant dish. Oh delicious. I’ve finally found love for Indian food. I got this at Trader Joe’s. You can see a picture in my Saturday grocery post. It was about $2.29 and it’s all natural. Only like 6 ingredients! I also had 1/2 of a Pita Pit pita. I’ll be having the rest of these foods for lunch manana.
Afternoon snack was some TJ’s Greek with Flax + and an apple.
After work, I set out for Schenley Park with a new, perfectly detailed map for my run. I set my stop watch on the Ipod too to see how long the route will take me. I tucked the map into my pocket and set off. A few minutes later I checked my pocket and the MAP WAS GONE! I lost it. Sooo I didn’t go the correct route. I’m sorry Schenley Park for my accidental littering. Maybe some lost runner will pick it up and follow my route. Maybe.
So without a map, I had no idea of my distance so I just ran for a little over 30 minutes. It started to sprinkle about half way through but it didn’t bother me. The weather was okay for running.
I got home around 7 and cooked up some roasted kale, asparagus, broccoli and butternut squash. I’m so weird that roasting veggies makes one of my favorite meals. How odd? KALE = VITAMIN C! After the veggies, I had a Flat Out wrap and then some oats with wheat bran.
I’m too lazy to input every picture separately so we’ll do this in the form of a gallery (in the correct order!)
There were like 9 typos in my last post so I’m going to correct them. I read it and cringe.
