Monday is over. It’s all downhill now.
The work day was …like every other work day. I came home and thought about whether I should take my car in to be fixed and inspected or not. I decided to just suck it up and do it. I drove it over to the repair shop and then walked home. Describing the exhaust problems to a repair man is so embarrassing. I have NO car knowledge at all so I was like, uhh it kind of sounds like metal dragging but nothing is really dragging and it’s kind of loud but I don’t know if it’s more loud than it should be, etc. etc. He cut me off at some point…
Sooo I got home and found this on the porch!
Yay! If any of you frequent other food blogs, you may have seen giveaways happening. (Not on this blog kids. Maybe some day.) Anyway, I won something on this blog: Help Meghan Run. Check it out! If you like my blog, then you will probably like hers, PLUS she gives things away on occasion!
Here’s the package (covering the address for privacy):

I won a box of Adora chocolate calcium supplements!

According to the website, women my age need 1000 mg of calcium per day. Each of these little disks has 500 mg. I, of course, opened them right away and tried one. I got the milk chocolate kind but they also have dark chocolate. It was good! I’m thinking I might od on calcium with these. I don’t know if chocolate vitamins are a good idea… Anyway, thanks Meghan!!
After that, I made a green smoothie.

This was really good. It may have been even better without the usual raspberries.
I haven’t eaten dinner yet. I took some cod fillets out of the freezer this morning planning to make that but it’s kind of too warm to have my oven on for half an hour or so. Maybe I’ll do that tomorrow night.
Alright that’s about it for now. OH I also keep forgetting to mention that since I’ve been running in my new shoes, I have had almost no hip pain! I was concerned for a while that I was going to have to cut back on running but it was definitely the shoes. Moral of the story: GOOD SHOES ARE IMPORTANT.
That’s all I’ve got for you today.
I was trying to come up with a witty signoff but all I keep thinking is…check you later.
