sleepyish

It’s 6:30 PM already!

What have I done today? I made eggs for breakfast instead of oatmeal!

  • 1/2 a giant onion
  • some grape tomatoes
  • big handful of spinach
  • 3 egg whites
  • black pepper
  • red pepper
  • sriracha
  • romano cheese

After digesting this, I went for a run. I did four miles in really high humidity. I was COVERED in sweat.

After the run, I ate a banana and assembled a wrap.

  • mustard
  • spinach
  • tomatoes
  • artichoke hearts
  • an extra tortilla on the side

After lunch, I showered and sat around for a bit trying to decide what to do with myself. I ended up going shopping…! I pretty desperately needed a new work skirt because my two favorite (read: wear every week) pencil skirts are looking kind of haggard and one has a hole. I already fixed it once but now there is a hole on the other side. So I went to Gap and got a new black skirt plus…a tank top and a purple skirt all for $40! The work skirt was the most expensive at $26 which was still more than 50% off.

Then I went to Giant Eagle and got some groceries for the week. I’ll go to Trader Joe’s tomorrow and get the rest probably. Then I came home and ate oatmeal for dinner. Yeah..since I skipped it at breakfast. I did mix in about a cup of Stonyfield plain yogurt though and wheat bran and cinnamon. It was a big serving of oatmeal.

I’m not exactly sure what my plans are for tonight or tomorrow. We’ll see.

Have a nice Saturday evening all.

  • SMOTE

    Good Morning All!

Well it’s Saturday. It definitely feels like Sunday since I had yesterday off. It’s so great that I still have two days! Unfortunately, I slept until 10 AM this morning. I didn’t end up going to bed until 3:30 AM so I guess 10 AM isn’t so bad. I’ll probably take a nap later in the day, hopefully during some rain. I’m hoping for rain today and then a nice day tomorrow. That will go…swimmingly…with my mood.

So the only picture I have of anything that I ate yesterday is this:

Not the prettiest thing that I ate yesterday but probably the weirdest. That would be two food processed frozen bananas. In the picture, the mixture looks pretty thin but it actually has a thick, almost frozen yogurt/soft-serve ice cream consistency. It’s amazingly delicious. Let your food processor run for a good five minutes and make sure the frozen bananas were very ripe. Delicious! I got this idea from a raw food blog that I read: Choosing Raw. Check it out. I get lots of great ideas from it.

I did go to the wave pool yesterday and it was lots of fun. We pretty much just floated around on rafts and sat out in the sun talking for a few hours then came home. My biceps are sore this morning from maneuvering in the raft. hahaha. I got back from the pool around 4 and took a nap and then got ready for the show at the Brillobox.

Here is my friends’ band, Mariage Blanc:

Also, Happy Birthday to JOSH who turns 25 today! He’s not in the picture but he would be to the left of those guys also holding a guitar.

Gina, Jason and Old Coworker came along too. Gina and I discussed whether or not smote is a word. We debated it for a bit. Jason got involved and declared it to be a word. I was still skeptical. Click the link in the prior sentence and you will see that smote is the past tense of smite. INTERESTING.

Last night was pretty fun. All three bands were really good but it was kind of ridiculously hot and crowded so a bit uncomfortable but we survived. I had two beers throughout the night over a course of about 4 hours so that wasn’t bad.

We stayed there until the show ended at 2 and then I came home and wasted time on the internet and texting people (because I’m crazy) and then went to bed.

This morning I woke up and made a recovery smoothie salad. I added like 4 cups of spinach because I didn’t eat much in the way of vegetables yesterday. This smoothie was not good but I drank it anyway.

  • 4 cups spinach
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/4 Almond Breeze
  • 1/2 cup coffee
  • 1/4 cup black raspberries

TOO MUCH SPINACH AND COFFEE. Thumbs down.

A couple of other things I did yesterday…

Killed a spider with my Ikea catalog:

I left the magazine and the spider there because I’m deathly afraid of spiders.

I ate a whole bunch of this stuff with carrots:

This stuff is deliciously amazing. I highly recommend it for vegetable dipping and easy noodle dishes and stuff.

Alright I’m off because this has been a very long post AND my laptop battery is dying AND it’s time for breakfast or brunch I suppose though I’m not a fan of the word brunch. JUST PICK ONE.

    Adios.
