Hello All!
Well I didn’t blog yesterday. You would think that I would since I didn’t do very much yesterday…
Let’s go back to Saturday evening though. I was feeling pretty antsy so I ended up meeting Andy and Brian at Silky’s in Squirrel Hill. I wasn’t in the mood for drinking so I just had one beer and we stayed a little while and chatted. The place was pretty empty for some reason. I ended up getting home and to bed pretty early.
I woke up at 7:30 the next morning and left the house by 8:10 am. I did some things and then came home, ate some oatmeal for breakfast, let it digest for a bit and then went for my long run. I was kind of concerned that I might throw up…since I never give myself enough time to digest after I eat but it turned out well!
I did 5.5 miles. Oh…my…gosh that’s pretty far. I was all over the place.
Here’s the Garmin:

I’m trying to think of anything exciting that happened during the run… I don’t think anything really happened. I forgot to mention that last week when I was running, I got hit by a biker! Seriously bicycles, GET OFF THE SIDEWALK unless you’re like a child. I was kind of angry. Ah well.
I finished the run at Right by Nature, stretched and then bought a bottle of water and a S’more Luna Bar. So Luna bars are pretty much exactly the same as Kashi Crunchy Bars. I got a Luna bar only because they were on sale for 99 cents. 8 grams of protein is good though. They’re 70% organic. I think that’s really weird. It says Certified Organic BUT it’s only 70%.
So I bussed home from the Strip and made a green smoothie:

It was good! It actually made two glasses full. I drank ‘em both.
After that, I went to Trader Joe’s and bought the rest of my groceries. I got a box of my favorite cereal and can obviously not be trusted with this in the car. I had it sitting on my lap snacking away.

Thennn I made an egg wrap with my favorite salsa plus more egg whites and salsa on the side. It ended up falling apart so I ate it with a knife and fork.

Uhhh I also ate a TON of stuff throughout the rest of the day. I could not stop eating. My stomach was full but I wanted MORE. Probably because I burned 650 calories or something during the run. My metabolism was going full-force I guess. I pretty much ate whatever I wanted the rest of the day.
I also worked a nap into the late afternoon. That’s about it for Sunday besides some reading and some cleaning and I also watched a movie but I’m too embarrassed to tell you what it was…
I slept really well last night and got to work at 8. It was another busy day today. I didn’t get to eat breakfast until 9! I was starving.
Pumpkin oats with Kashi Heart to Heart and lots of cinnamon:

Plus frozen strawberries for my AM snack.
Lunch was a big spinach salad.
Side note about the pickles — I bought a jar yesterday and COULD NOT GET IT OPEN. I hit it with a big fork about 30 times and then a knife and then almost cried and then texted Andy about it and then FINALLY got it open. It’s times like those when living alone is depressing.

Afternoon snack was some Stonyfield Lowfat plain yogurt with Kashi Heart to Heart and cinnamon. Yogurt is probably my favorite thing in the whole world. Okay no but definitely my favorite dairy product unless you count cheesecake …then it would be cheesecake.
I got home from work and ate some egg whites with best ever salsa and then made blondies for tomorrow night’s picnic.
I used a recipe from the Nestle Best-Ever Cookies cookbook. I love this cookbook! I got it from my grandma’s house when she moved to Florida.
I call my grandma Tutu just so you know. Anyone else have any weird grandparent names?
Here’s the page from the cookbook. Too bad you can’t really read the recipe. I should post it. We’ll see how they turn out and then I’ll get back to you.

Here they are prior to cooking. I lined the jelly-roll pan with parchment. Let’s hope this works out.
Picture of the finished product for you manana!

Dinner was…some shrimp (in the form of shrimp cocktail) and then a ton of roasted vegetables.
Everything was drizzled with Sriracha because I can’t go a day without it.
I would post the picture but…I didn’t upload it and my camera is in the kitchen.
Alright that’s about it for now.
PS New Friend was on TV singing this evening! I took a picture of my tv…
Have a nice evening!
