Good Evening All!
So I’m blogging in bed again. It’s 9:39 PM. The fact that I don’t have to get up to run anymore is slowly pushing back my bedtime… Ah well.
Let’s review the day. I had oats with Kashi Honey Sunshine and peanut butter again this morning. That cereal is SO good. Also, they’re giving away free samples on the Kashi website so CLICK. I signed up for the Honey Sunshine sample…but there are two other choices.
I had Part 1 of a FOUR HOUR conference call this morning and then we broke for lunch at noon. I needed to take a walk.
See the big black building on the right? My office is in the pointy building to the left of that.
I took a walk along here. That would be PNC Park — Home of the Pittsburgh Pirate’s. For you out of town readers, that would be home of one of the worst baseball teams in the nation. Yes!
I always think about sitting on this bench but never actually do…
I got back to the office and ate lunch. Look familiar? It’s exactly the same as yesterday — tuna/spinach/sriracha on a La Tortilla Factory tortilla. I added some rice in there this time. Plus a carrot on the side. Cubicle neighbor questioned why I don’t just buy baby carrots. Aside from the fact that I feel like the whole carrots are fresher, I think they also taste better. Cubicle neighbor said she thinks baby carrots are sweeter. Aren’t baby carrots just whole carrots cut into bite-sized pieces? I don’t think this makes them sweeter.
After lunch, marathon conference call part 2 commenced. That was pretty much the rest of my day.
I got home and ate dinner quickly then headed out. I decided to go to a young adults Bible study that I’ve been to a few times. Turns out it was game night. Hmm. So dodgeball happened. I am BAD at dodgeball. It was a good time though!
Annnnd now I’m home. I snacked on some of these when I got home:
Also, I feel kind of famous because a fellow True Spier mentioned me in his blog! Check out his blog – The Casualist. He’s a fellow Pittsburgher and a fellow runner.
What else do I have to mention…..? I skipped my run today so that’ll likely happen tomorrow after work. I have a whole bunch of bananas but I can’t eat them because I’m making banana cupcakes for a coworker’s birthday this weekend. It’s KILLING me. I just want a banana.
Ohhh another funny story that may not actually come off as funny on the blog. Pregnant Cubicle Neighbor met up with her husband yesterday and they went to Dozen Bake Shop which is a little bakery downtown. Pregnant Cubicle Neighbor told me that her husband wanted a cupcake last week but decided that he couldn’t just go to the bakery alone and get a cupcake because you really can’t just eat the cupcake as you’re walking down the street. He said, “a cookie, you can just eat casually as you’re walking but a cupcake, you have to like take it and sit down somewhere and eat the cupcake.” Hahaha. So that’s why they went together. So that he could get a cupcake.
Okay time to read and write and sleep.
Have a lovely Wednesday!
