One-A-Day vitamins are not vegetarian.

Good Morning!

So I’ve been doing a whole lot of this the last few days:

IMG_4990.JPG

I created a shared calendar with Google Calendar for Aaron and I to share since we have so many events coming up plus about a million tasks to complete for the wedding.

On Thursday, I stopped at Giant Eagle to get some flu medicine and got their salad bar for lunch. I also got some zinc and vitamin c supplements. They DON’T SEEM TO BE WORKING since I’m still sick but it’s cool. This salad was amazing. I love artichokes!

Hmm Wednesday and Thursday otherwise, were pretty uneventful. I was primarily just trying to nurse myself back to health and not go CRAZY sitting around being unproductive. I felt so lazy. Thursday I decided to take a walk because the weather was great and I was feeling better. I walked to Whole Foods, got a few things and then walked back. Bad idea. Once I got home, I felt horrible again. Lame.

Friday morning I went to the doctor’s (no H1N1) though they didn’t even test me… The doctor basically just said, you’ll be fine… I need to find a new doctor. I’m not a fan of this place at all. Anyway, Aaron stopped at my house after work and we went to his house to hang out. We made some split pea soup from a mix and discussed what we might want to do with the house once I move in! Troy Hill! Oh yes. Future home.

I love split pea soup.

Aaron did his dishes:

And I took pictures of myself:

And was not helpful at all:

Check out my future bike! I’m so excited! It’s an old Schwinn and was purchased for $5!

Ring!

I ended up going home around 11:30 last night and went right to bed (after reading a few blogs…) I woke up this morning at 7:30 and realized I felt sick again. AH. Headache. Sweaty. Gross. Hm. I ate oatmeal for breakfast and had some tea and then took an Advil and then took my temperature. Fever again. Hm.

So I’m lying on the couch yet again watching PBS cooking shows. All I wanted to do this weekend was go for a run because the weather is beautiful and perfect but it’s not looking very likely at this point. I’m hoping if I rest this morning, I’ll feel better this afternoon and then be healthy enough to go for a jog tomorrow! Hope hope hope.

Alright have a great Saturday!

Wild & Wonderful & Big News!

I have officially decided that I’m going to get back into blogging regularly again. I’m going to start photographing my food again and posting on a daily basis. What’s happened lately is I keep putting off blogging for a few days and then I have SO many pictures and events to relay that I just get overwhelmed and don’t do it. Times are changing my friends.

First up, you want to hear the big news that I’ve been mentioning in the last couple of posts???

Start reading, it’s actually in this post!

Last Saturday, November 7th, 2009, Aaron and I took a drive to West Virginia, specifically, Coopers Rock State Park. It was one of the most beautiful days all year — 68ish degrees and sunny.

West Virginia:

Look at the sky! Seriously beautiful day.

So basically the day consisted of hanging out on this overlook and taking pictures of ourselves and then grabbing our packed picnic lunch and trying to find what Aaron described as giant rocks that you walk through.… I’ll believe it when I see it Aaron….

Please notice the dead bug to the right of Aaron’s finger:

Okay so after the overlook, we took off down a trail in the woods for a lonnnng time. Along the way I started to get grumpy because uhhh I get really grumpy when I’m hungry. We also learned that I’m not graceful at all. I kept tripping over things while talking about how I never ever want to go camping. I wouldn’t really consider myself a camper…

Anyway, we finally found a giant rock (not one of the aforementioned rocks of “Rock City”) but a big rock nonetheless. We decided to climb up and have our picnic on there. We ate our pb&j sandwiches and then I started eating an apple and Aaron said, “I have something for you.” Uhh. Okay, what?? And then…he pulled out a ring. AH. AHHH. I stared at him for a long time with my mouth open. He asked me to marry him. I didn’t respond for a minute. I think I scared him. I think I was in shock. shock shock shock. I eventually said yes, handed him my apple and took the ring.

Sooo the big news = AARON & I ARE ENGAGED!
IMG_4969.JPG

That’s pretty big news right??

We were both pretty happy the rest of the day:

We eventually found Rock City and I wasn’t so grumpy. Full of peanut butter and jelly and you know… ENGAGED.

Soooo there you have it. We’ve been engaged for a week now! It looks like the date is going to be June 26th, 2009. Soon, right? Well, let’s just say Aaron and I have been discussing this for a little while now and we had already gone to look at a wedding venue prior to the engagement so it wasn’t a HUGE surprise but still. So basically, this blog may turn into a bit of a wedding blog for the next six months.

We went to look at the wedding venue (a farm in Leechburg) again this past Sunday and decided to book it this week! Want to see a picture?

Lingrow Farm!

The reception will be in this barn:

And the ceremony will (weather-permitting) take place here:

Their pictures are better so maybe check out the website if you’re interested. Okay that’s about it.

Oh wait, want to see the dress that I love?

I have 7 months to track down something like this.

It’s Friday now. I’ve had the FLU all week so I’ve been lying around for WAY too long being ridiculously bored. I’m hoping to feel better by Sunday because if I don’t run soon, I might cry.

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!!!!

By the way, my new initials will be PB. This is pretty sweet.

File this in GET OVER HERE

Heyyy blog friends! I definitely fell of the blog wagon again. I have so many pictures to post too! This post involves no food at all but it does involve HALLOWEEN COSTUMES & a video of boyfriend’s band.

This post may be a bit short on the words because I have a hard time recreating my thoughts when I am blogging about something that happened NINE days ago. sorry sorry sorry.

Let’s get to it. Aaron’s costume was a success!

Raiden from Mortal Kombat:

Sooo Aaron got ready much earlier than me because MOIP had two shows to play at two different parties. He got all ready then left and I hung out trying to entertain myself for a lonnnng time. I think I drank a bunch of coffee.

Finally it was time to put on my costume! Yellow socks + orange shorts

IMG_4896.JPG

+ pink tshirt
IMG_4894.JPG

+ backpack (that totally gives it away)

= Dora (AKA super cheap & easy Halloween costume)

The resemblance is uncanny:

My costumes was super easy and comfortable plus I got to carry a backpack! It was pretty awesome.

This was also awesome:

So the evening consisted of me picking up friend-Laura and heading to one friend’s party. We hung out there for maybe an hour, had a beer and then moved onto the other party where MOIP was playing their second show.

Met up with Aaron:
IMG_4913.JPG

Watched a couple not so great bands then watched Aaron’s band then died from being thrown against people in the massive crowd. No. That did not happen. But still, it was WILD.

IMG_4917.JPG

It was packed. It took Laura and I a good 15 minutes just to get outside. FIRE HAZARD for sure.
IMG_4921.JPG

I’m so sorry that this post isn’t too entertaining! Perhaps the inclusion of a video will make up for it some?? I have a little headache right now which is pretty rare for me so I’m just keeping the words to a minimum. I promise I’ll write the next post when I’m really in a blogging mood plus I have HUGE news. Soon soon soon my friends.

In the meantime, MOIP video for ya:

Also, thank you readers for sticking with me through the blogging drought. More regular blogging to come. Involving food even!

Sleep well!
