Good Morning! I haven’t blogged in a while because I’ve been busy baking and baking and BAKING.
I had to make 750 chocolate covered pretzels to be sold to benefit the American Heart Association plus 150 cake pops last week. Every night last week was spent doing that.

Yesterday, thanks in part to the generosity of my grandparents (Tutu & Papap!), Aaron and I purchased a new oven!!!!!!!!!!
Out with the old:
And in with the new!!! It’s a double oven and I love it. I got into the back of the truck and hugged it on the street. I originally named it Sheila but Aaron hated that name and kept calling it Cooksy… so we compromised and named it Rocky because it’s an underdog. It came from the Sears Outlet… it has a little dent on the right side which saved us like 40%!
FIVE burners! Because we always have five things cooking at once…
I tested it out yesterday and baked two different almond cake recipes that I was testing for a cake that I’ll be baking next week for a Christening.
Alright I’m off to bake a chocolate cake and a vanilla cake in preparation for two cake pop orders this week. Monday through Wednesday I’m out of town for work training in Cincinnati. I will get to watch cable!
AWESOME stove!!! And I’m so impresed that you made all of that stuff. I would have been so sick of the kitchen after one night spent cooking!
How’s your half training coming?? You feeling ready? My loong run was terrible, but I’m not too worried!!
